Baby Boy Meadows

I know you can't see much on ultrasounds but this is our sweet little boy. In this picture he was 29 weeks and weighing 3lbs 15 oz. He is the wildest little thing inside my belly. He moves around so much!

We have had one big complication with this pregnancy. I have a placenta previa which means my placenta is covering my cervix (where he is suppose to come out). Since it is wear it is, my placenta has wanted to bleed some. I have been in and out of the hospital with these small episodes of bleeding but the doctors have told me if it happens again I will be staying till I deliver. The doctors want to take the baby(by c-section) at 36 weeks to prevent other complications that can occur if I go to full term.

I am 32 weeks today and we are praying for no more problems for the next 4 weeks. I have been on bed rest for 3 weeks now and having to work really hard at it. It has been very hard to just sit around but I know this sweet little boy is worth it!!

Papa's Girl

I love this picture. Ivy is papa's little girl. She will go to him over anybody, even sometimes her own mommy. He has spoiled her rotten! There is a lot of things they do together but two of them she will not let him forget. She loves to help feed the dogs with him and at bedtime she likes coke and lemon pie for snack. I think papa could keep her forever if mommy didn't mind!

Walker has started his Upward basketball season at church. He doesn't know much about basketball but he enjoys playing. He has been making at least one basket each game but at his last one he made three. I was very proud of him!! On shot was made so far away even the ref looked at us like 'how did that happen'. It is always so much fun to watch him!

He is waiting on the buzzard to go off. I don't think he likes the loud noise!!

After church on Christmas day we all came back to Mom and Dad's for lunch. We had a great meal and then opened gifts. It was a great afternoon spent with family. The kids love being together.

Well, this picture says it all. Wayne's side of the family is beyond normal.

They might be crazy but we love being with them. Ma and Papa are so good to us and Bryan and Katie are great to be around. Christmas is always a lot of fun hanging out and goofing around.

The month of December is full of Christmas Events. It seemed like we were always going to Christmas parties and events. It keeps us busy but we love it!

21 Months

Ivy is now 21 months and I finally took her to her 18month check up. She is 21 pounds and that puts her in the 10% for weight. She is in the 50% for Height. She is one crazy girl who is always into everything. Her favorite thing to do right now is unwrap the Christmas presents under the tree. You would think after the third present we would learn and just put the present up, but we haven't. She also loves to do whatever her big sister Reese does. She is not saying much but that is what to expect with two older siblings.

Walker's First Deer

Walker shot his first deer on Thursday! He was one excited little boy. It was just a little button buck deer but it didn't matter to him. He shot it from up in a deer stand sitting with Wayne. When Walker called to tell me he started signing "Tonight's going to be a good night, tonight is going to be a real good night" (made me laugh)

We had breakfast with Santa this past Saturday with our Sunday School class. The kids enjoyed seeing some of their friends but didn't care to much about seeing Santa. We enjoyed some great food and our time spent as a family!

Fun Run

The PTA at Walker's school hosted a fun run to raise money this year instead of selling stuff. Walker had to raise pledges for each lap he would run. It was a beautiful but cold day and Walker ended up running 35 laps! He had a great time running with all his friends.

One funny story...There was a water station out for the kids and I noticed that walker started stopping on every lap to get water. About afters 3 cups of water, Walker headed my way with a thumbs up shouting "Mom, There's FREE refills" He was one excited boy!

Preschool Thanksgiving

Reese had an exciting Thanksgiving at her school. I was able to spend the day with her class helping out and truly enjoyed it. They got to make lots of fun crafts and ended the day with a large feast. We are so thankful for such a great school!

Boy!

We have some very excited boys in our house now. On Saturday I got my sister to take the "envelope" that I got from the ultrasound report on Friday to fill up our big box with balloons. We headed to the park with our family to see what we would be having! The results as you can tell with the picture was very exciting!!

Halloween

On Halloween night the kids got to go Trick-A-Treating for their first time. They had a blast. I didn't think they would like going door to door. I thought it would scar them, but they were not scared at all. They would run from door to door! Even after Ivy would get candy from one house she would stand there and say "more"! She couldn't get enough!

Walker was our Ninja, Reese was Tinker Bell, and Ivy our little Peanut!

As soon as we got home they all had their own piles on the floor looking at all they got.

Ivy couldn't hold back, she was eating it as soon as they put it in her pumpkin!

Story Book Character

Story Book Character day was last week for Walker. You had to have a book with you to dress up. Since Walker loves to hunt and fish it was very easy for us to pick a character. We had already checked out 'That's Papa's Way' from the library so it worked out perfectly!

Fall at Preschool

Reese had her fall event at preschool this week. I was able to go and watch her and help out with some of the activities. Her class was adorable. They got to go on a hayride around the church and ended up sitting with a sweet scarecrow for story telling. They played some games and ended the day by getting pumpkins.

I finally got to meet Reese's best friend Sarah! She talks about her all the time. They were so cute together. Always side by side!

Walker's First Tooth

Walker has finally lost his first tooth! He has been waiting and waiting to lose one. Ever since he started kindergarten all his friends have been loosing their teeth and Walker keeps asking when he would. Well, one week ago it started getting loose on an apple he ate and ever since he worked so hard on it. Last night after wanting to pull it so bad he knocked it loose playing around outside. He was SOOOO EXCITED!!

Walker put his tooth under his pillow and the next morning woke me up at 6:30 telling me his tooth was gone but NO MONEY!! The tooth fairy had messed up...thankfully, I sneaked in bed with him and put the money under the other pillow and he found it. Close call for the tooth fairy!!

Carter's Lake

We had a great day yesterday visiting with old friends. Growing up my parents had some really close couples we did everything with. Since all the kids have grown and have had children we never see each other anymore. So yesterday we all gathered up at Carter's lake for a day of fun. We all brought a picnic enjoyed a wonderful devotion, and spent the rest of the day playing games. We had a great time!!!

Carter's Lake is a beautiful place to visit. The kids were so excited to see there "first" Mountain.

We had a busy weekend of Birthdays!! Friday night we celebrated Uncle Bryan's "40" Birthday. Saturday we celebrated Addison's Birthday and Sunday we celebrated Vance Jr.'s Birthday.

Baseball

Walker started Fall Baseball and had his first game last night. He has been so excited about playing and couldn't wait. Every since he could walk Walker could throw and hit a ball. Baseball is defiantly something Walker will be good at. I know I am bragging but isn't that what mommy's are suppose to do!! For his first game he had two great hits and made two outs at first base!!! So proud of him!

Reese's Goes to Preschool!

Reese started her first day of preschool about two weeks ago. I was really nervous she would not like it since she cries when we leave her for Sunday school. But to my surprise, she LOVES it. She went straight in her class the first day and loved it!! When I picked her up she told me all about her day and had the biggest smile.

Reese turned three this past Thursday. For her birthday she wanted a Little Mermaid party. So we invited the family over for a sweet girly party. It is nice to be back in Georgia and spend these special occasions with our family.

Reese has started her ballet class and loves it. She has had only one class and keeps asking "can we go back!" I was scared she was going to be real shy and not do much but she wen straight in and did everything the teacher asked. I am so proud of her!!

Summer by the Pool

This summer has came and is going so fast. In the blink of an eye in the first days of summer, our life had changed. Moving back home was defiantly not on my list of Things to Do! We had many people tell us to just enjoy this time as a family so that is what we have done. Most days we have been out by the pool. The kids enjoy swimming. Walker has turned into a fish and Reese can stay under water for 6 seconds (we have to count). Ivy enjoys jumping into the water and then she kicks kicks kicks. We have loved watching them swim and are so proud of them!

1st day of 1st Grade

Walker started his first day of First Grade last Monday. He is attending Varner Elementary School and has Mrs. Coleman for his teacher. He was very excited to get started and has done very well in class. Two days this week he has brought home rocks off the playground in his pocket. Wayne's mom says he use to do the same thing. I guess they are more alike than we know!

Walker picked out his lunch box, it was the biggest the store had so it was what he wanted (the bigger, the more food)!!

Six Flags

This past Tuesday we got to go to Six Flags with the kids. This was their first time and really enjoyed it. Reese wasn't afraid of anything. She wanted to ride it all. Walker on the other hand did not want to go into the Monster Plantation...he gets scared easily so we didn't do it but he did ride everything else. It was a great trip(even if it was 105 degrees!)

Skull Island is new at Six Flags, it is a mini water park that the kids loved. Reese went down this one slide at least 30 times!

Braves Game

This past week we were able to go to the Atlanta Braves Game. We took Walker and Reese and went with our Sister-in-law Katie and nephew Nate. We were not sure how Reese would do but she did great. It was her first baseball game and we think she enjoyed it! She was so fun to watch doing the tomahawk chop, as the night got later and later her chop got smaller and smaller. Walker loved it all of course, he is getting into the game now and one day will be our super star shortstop!!

Katie got the privilege to hold Reese and help her with her M&M's!! It was to hot for them not to melt!!

Ivy's Walking

That's Right!! Ivy is finally walking. She is 16 months and is now up on two legs. It has taken her a long time to walk but we are so proud of her. She is nothing like our other two, she has long skinny legs, big skinny feet and has no arches. I have no idea if any of this effected her late walking but she is now on a roll!!

We have had such a busy summer so far! We have really enjoyed being home enjoying our family and friends.

My sister Patty turned "30" at the end of June so we put together a surprise party together for her. Patty knew what was going on but none of the kids knew she knew! It was a lot of fun!

Walker and Reese have both turned into fishes. They love to go swimming in Nana's pool. In the shot above Walker is flying into the air to crash into the pile of floats. Even Ivy loves the water!

Ivy is always getting into something...she is very sneaky!

We Moved!

Well it has been about three weeks now since we moved from Clinton, North Carolina. We are now back in our home town of Powder Springs, Georgia. The move was a very fast move. Wayne resigned as Pastor at the Church and we were packed up within a couple of days. It is a crazy long story to why we left the church and way to much to write in a blog. We are very thankful now to be at home with our family and friends. We know the Lord had shut doors but we are looking forward to the new doors that are coming. Please pray for our family as we wait patiently on Him!

Lake Vacation

We had a great family vacation this year. We went to Lake Murray in South Carolina and rented a lake house. It was wonderful for the whole family. We had our own private sandy beach, dock, fire pit and so much more. The boys fished every morning and night having a blast. One day we were able to rent a boat and spend a day out on the water. The boys had a blast jumping off the boat and dock.

Last days of school

Kindergarten has flown by! Walker had such a great year and we are so thankful for his teachers. The last week of school was full of exciting events. One of them we were able to attend to see his class get awards and show off their singing skills. We are so proud of him and all that he has learned in Kindergarten!!

Walker and His friend next door found a Baby Blue Jay that had fallen out of his nest. They took him in and took very good care of him. They fed him milk out of a dropper, bread, and worms. They fixed up a dog cage for him with pine straw, water, and even a hamster wheel so he could exercise. At one time I found the boys on top of Wayne's truck trying to teach him to fly. The Bird didn't live for more than three days, but was loved very much by two little boys!

Walker turned six years old today. We had him a very small party this past Saturday with our family and his friend Josh from next door. We tried to make it a little surprise, so we sent him to pick up pizza with ma while we decorated. After the party we took him and his friend to a near by water park. We had a great time celebrating his "6th" Birthday!!

The summer heat has finally hit us. We pulled out the pool today for the girls while Walker was at school. The water was freezing but Reese didn't care. Ivy didn't like it so she stayed out with me. As soon as Walker got home he jumped in. Nothing could be better in their little world!

Awana Award Ceremony

Walker and Reese had their Awana ceremony this past Sunday. We are so proud of both of them. Reese was in the Puggles and Walker was a Sparkie. I was blessed to be able to teach Reese's class. Walker learned so much this past year. He memorized so many verses and the books of the New Testament.

Gone Fishing

Wayne and Walker went fishing this past week and caught 14 fish. Walker was so excited, not just him but Reese too! She wanted to hold the fish and feed them gummies (aka-fruit snacks). Reese helped clean them and we had them a few days later for supper. They were so good!

We had a wonderful Easter. This has been our third year we have joined our wonderful neighbors for Easter lunch. They have been so good to us since we moved in. After eating we had an egg hunt then a brutal game of kickball. We were worn out by the end of the day.

While we were in Georgia we took the kids to visit the Atlanta Zoo. We had such a good time. The weather was wonderful and the kids loved it!

Last week Walker was on spring break so we took off to Georgia to visit our family.

We got to take a visit to the Airborne and Special Operations Museum near Ft. Bragg two weeks ago. It was a neat place to visit but was hard to experience with three small children. Walker enjoyed seeing all the planes and guns but didn't want to take the time to read about each display.

Just sharing a couple of pics from the past two weeks of Ivy Bug. Yes, she has gotten the name Ivy bug and it has stuck. Sometimes it is just bug for short.

Her fussiness has gotten a lot better since she started crawling. She is everywhere now, her favorite place is near the toilet. She pulls all the toilet paper off and then likes to pull it in and out of the toilet. Lots of fun for mommy to clean up. She also likes tissues boxes. Twice now I have entered the room to an empty box of tissue that is all over the room. It must be loads of fun because she always has a big smile!

Walker got presented with The Terrific Kid Award this week at school. His Teacher called us to make sure we didn't miss the ceremony. We didn't tell him we were going and it turned out to be a great surprise. He had the biggest smile when he saw us. We are so very proud of him. He is doing so good at school!

I found Reese a Barbie Jeep at a consignment sale this week for a great deal. It was suppose to be for her birthday but me and Wayne couldn't wait. Her birthday is not till August and we wanted her to enjoy it during the summer. She loved it. I wish I had a picture of her eyes when she saw it. They were as big as her head!

Ivy enjoys riding it too. Only bad thing is that it doesn't have a set belt, so Ivy hits the dash every once in a while when Reese isn't driving smooth.

Leprechaun trap

Happy St. Patrick's Day! All month there has been a Leprechaun sneaking around Walker's Classroom at school. He would turn over chairs and the trash and make big messes. So each child had to make a trap to bring in to catch him. We took it to school Wednesday in hopes to trap him overnight and have him Thursday. Well he came through messed with all the traps and left hand and footprints everywhere, but was never trapped. He is a sneaky little thing.

Walker wants to set the trap up at our house but I told him I did not want a Leprechaun anywhere around here.

Ivy went yesterday for her one year check up and she passed with flying colors. In the past she has failed her gross motor development each time but not this time. We are so proud of her. She is doing almost everything she is suppose to be doing.

Ivy now weighs 18 lbs 10 oz and is 45 in long.

We had Ivy's first birthday party this past weekend. The theme was Bumblebees! Everything was black, white, and yellow. It was just our family with my mom and dad and we had a great time. Walker and Reese enjoyed blowing out the candle but Ivy would not touch her cake. She did take the bee off the top and tried to eat it.

Soccer

Walker started his third season of soccer. It is neat to see him and his teammates improve every season. Today Walker scored his 1st Goal!!! We were so excited and so was Walker!

I actually got his goal on video. I never video with my camera but did it and he scored.

Birthday Girl

Ivy is one years old Today!! I can't believe it. Wayne took her to breakfast this morning at McDonald's and shared some oatmeal. My parents are coming into town tonight so we are going to have a birthday party this weekend. Can't wait!!

At one years old she is:

pulling up, crawling, eating table food, still loves her bottle, has 6 teeth, says mommy and daddy, likes sunglasses, loves to play in the toilet, loves to swing outside, still loves attention and is very loved by her big sister and brother.

Cows and Carrots!

Saturday for some reason the cows in our back yard all lined up and watched us for a while as we were outside playing. I guess they thought it was there turn to watch us since we are always watching them. I enjoy watching them play, eat, and even give birth but I don't enjoy the terrible smell or all the flies they bring.

Wayne and the kids were trying to feed carrots to the one horse among the cows.

Sisters

We have enjoyed a couple of warmer days around here after such a cold winter. Saturday we spent a couple of hours outside enjoying the weather. I am always trying to take good pictures with my new Nikon camera but as you can tell I am not very good at it.

She's Crawling!!

Little Ms. Thing as finally started to crawl. She is now up on all four and getting into everything. As you can tell below she got into Walker's game and sight word flash cards. She was having a good time!!

11 Months

Ivy is now 11 months old. She is finally starting to crawl if you call it crawling. She gets from one place to another by using her elbows to drag her body across the floor. She has been doing great at the Physical Therapist and her neck is back to normal. We are going to continue to go just because of her delay in crawling. She has been sick these past couple of weeks with RSV and an ear infection that will not go away. We started another antibiotic yesterday and praying this one works.

She has learned to point her finger (thanks to ma) and does it to a lot of people. She is starting to eat more table food and getting away from the baby stuff. She still loves to smile and acts bashful when people talk to her. I just love her to pieces!!

100th Day of School

Today Walker's class celebrated the 100th day of school. He had two projects he had to work on for the big day. The first was to make something out of 100 objects...so we made a race car with 100 Reese's pieces. Then he had to make something to wear...so we made a t-shirt with 100 fingerprints. It was a lot of fun working together and I am sure he is going to have a blast at school with all the fun activities they have planned!

Ivy has finally started scooting all over the place. She does the army crawl to get around, only using her elbows. And just yesterday she started pulling herself up in a sitting position all by herself when she is laying down. Yes, she is about 2 months behind but we are so proud!

At the Park

Last weekend was so nice that we had to get out of the house. So we took a trip to the park for a little fresh air.

The kids were so excited this weekend when they got a package in the mail. When they opened it up they all had an apron their Aunt Nan made them. They were so cute, and the princess was perfect for Reese. She has really gotten into the whole princess thing. (oh, and they loved the money in the pockets too!)

Our busy Week!

We have had a very crazy busy week and a half. Ma came up to stay with us since Wayne went duck hunting on the coast (Outerbanks, NC). The trip was very eventful in the fact that his boat sank and he had to swim to shore in the freezing cold weather, thankfully his life was saved but he lost his new shotgun, new cell phone and camera is waterlogged and so much more. We are very thankful he was safe and no one was hurt.

While Dad was away...I guess the kids can play!!!

Walker can be so silly sometimes. He pulled his pants up as high as he could get them then danced around the house. Makes me laugh!!

Also this week Reese has learned to use the potty. She has done a great job with very few accidents. Not only has she learned to use the potty but she can do it while balancing a spoon on her nose! She is so talented!!

And Ivy has been one sick girl. It has been two weeks of nasty nasty stuff. She has been so fussy. Yesterday the Doctor did an RSV test and it was positive and she also had an ear infection. Our house is ready for spring and no more colds.

Snow 2011

The kids have had a great time playing in the snow. Walker woke up first thing in the morning wanting to go outside. He said it was still Christmas (since it snowed) and that we should have not put up our Christmas tree. Snow storm 2011 has been fun but I think I am ready to get back to our normal routine.

10 Months

Ivy is now 10 months old. She is 17 pounds and still spoiled as ever. She is trying so hard to crawl but for some reason can't get it together. She will push off with her toes on her belly but doesn't get to far, so she just starts rolling...it works better.

Ivy loves to get in the bath tub now with her sister.

Ivy started her Physical therapy for her neck. She did a really good job. She smiled at everyone and did what she was suppose to do. Hopefully just a couple more weeks and she will be all straitened out.

Christmas at Granny's

Our last stop at Christmas was at granny's house. It had been 5 stops and 5 Christmases. At granny's we had her famous chicken n dressing. It is a family favorite. Our family from South Carolina came into town and we had a great time together.

Ivy can't crawl yet but I think aunt Patty wanted her to walk!!

Granny had a white tree this year which is one of my new favorite things.

Christmas at Aunt Diane's

Another stop for Christmas was on Sunday when we went to Aunt Nan's House (papa's sister). Of Course we had more yummy food and great presents to open.

Christmas at the Meadows

Christmas Night we had Christmas with Wayne's family which is always a lot fun. We start the night off with the tradition of Irish Stew for dinner (yum yum) and then we dive into the presents.

Walker was so tired by the end of the day, you can see it in his eyes but nothing was going to keep him from opening those gifts!

Reese in her princess dress that she kept on all day. She got a baby doll that went potty!!

Every year the boys get their matching Georgia attire from Ma!

And there is always a little bit of humor in opening gifts!

Ivy's First Snow

Ivy got her first snow on Christmas Day. We were so excited to see it snow on Christmas. It started around lunch and did not stop till late that night. The trees and the yard were covered. BEAUTIFUL!! Ivy just got to enjoy it for 5 seconds as we took a picture!

Christmas morning we woke up at my parents house with 7 grand kids eager to open presents. And boy did they have more than they needed. We drew names this year but somehow ended up with more than enough gifts. Last year we started letting all the kids open there gifts first and then they go and play with there toys while the Adults open theirs. Works Great, we got to enjoy each other and our fun gifts!

As you can tell there was nowhere to sit due to all the presents!

We had many places to go when we got back to Georgia. Our first stop was Christmas at Uncle Bobby's (Ma's Brother). We always have a good time over there playing cards and rolling dice for greedy gifts.

Christmas Morning

We had a great Christmas morning. We had our family Christmas a few days early since we were going home to Georgia. The kids woke up very excited to see all there gifts waiting on them. We opened presents for awhile then Wayne used our manger scene to tell the Christmas story. After a couple hours of playing we packed our bags and headed west!

Wayne asked me what I wanted for Christmas and I told him a new scarf. Well, he didn't know what else to get me so he just bought me six scarfs. It was funny to keep opening presents and see...a new scarf (six times)!

Seeing Santa

Well, we are back from Georgia and have a lot of blogging to do. Before we left we got to go see Santa at our town's McDonald's. And let me tell you...it is the best way to do it. Yes it might be redneck but there was no line and you could take your own picture!

We don't teach our children that there is a "Real" Santa, but we do pretend on Christmas morning. We like to teach our children the true meaning of Christmas and not that they obey b/c Santa is watching but that God told us to obey. Walker does know who St. Nicolas really was and that he was a very good man that did wonderful things. We pray that Christmas will mean more to them than it being about themselves and getting presents.

Ivy's checkup

Ivy had her 9 month checkup this past week. She weighed 17 lbs (25%) and was 28in long (75%). Of course she failed her gross motor skills again but I am not worried. She failed them at her 6 month check but eventually caught up. One thing we are watching is her neck. If you see her sweet head in the picture below there is a small turn in her neck, which they call torticollis. We have been doing some exercises for this but need a little help, so we are going to see a physical therapist on Monday.

This past Friday our church had a float in the Roseboro Christmas parade. Our whole family was able to ride along. It was really cold but we had a great time!

Baby Jesus

The kids got an early Christmas present today. After their bath they got to open a gift I wanted them to enjoy before Christmas. We got them the little people Manger Set. It is so cute and they loved it. Reese loves Baby Jesus! Every time we see a manger or a picture of baby Jesus she gets so excited and just looks at him forever. I love to watch her.

And of course she loved this Baby Jesus. She got Him and sat on the couch and rocked him to sleep while she sang. I pray that this passion for Christ will always be in her. She is my sweet sweet little girl.

This is how it sits now. Walker fixed it so that they are all watching Jesus!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!! We got out the Christmas stuff this past week and the kids had a blast. They loved putting up the stockings and decorating the tree. Reese was old enough this year to put on the ornaments and loved doing it. She put all the ornaments in one spot and would say "look mommy, look daddy" She was so proud of herself. We enjoyed watching her.

Walker and Reese both have a tree in their room. They got to fix it up all by themselves!

One Sick Family

It has been about two weeks of sickness around our house. Reese started off with the croup causing me to get sick. Then Walker started coughing and now Ivy has Pneumonia. We have been one sick household. Ma came to help take care of us and ended up getting sick too. We heard that if you put Vick's rub on your feet it helps with the nighttime coughing. So we tried it. It didn't work for us but the kids enjoyed putting it on their feet...and putting it on ma's feet.

Disney On Ice

8 Months Old!

Ivy is now 8 months old! She has changed so much this past month. She is doing so much better with her Gross motor activity. She is now rolling all over the place and is also sitting up all by herself. I am so proud of her. She has also gotten her first 3 teeth this month. She has been a very busy girl!
