Peas!

I got to spend another day in the garden picking peas. This is one of the best things about living in Clinton, NC is all the fresh veggies. As you can see below the kids love the peas too! Walker helped me do a little shelling, he thought it was fun. Reese just like throwing them everywhere.

These two pics I took after coming back from helping Walker outside. I wasn't thinking when I got up and left the bowl of peas I was shelling on the couch, and sure enough she was all into them when I returned. Don't you just love the pea smile!!
All of my hard work was all over the place!

She loves to throw everyting on the ground!

Hollerin contest

This past Saturday we went to the National Hollerin Contest at Spivey's Corner. It is definitely something to see. We enjoyed it and learned a lot about the different calls they use out in the field....40+years ago!

Sorry I can't get this pic to turn.

This is one of the men in the Contest. (sorry for the bad camera job)

Gone fishing!

Wayne took Walker fishing again this afternoon. He loves to fish. He can do everything all by himself. This new pond that a couple from church let them come to have the biggest fish that Wayne has ever caught. Walker wants to bring them home to eat but I am not sure if I am ready for that. I have never cooked fresh fish before. I guess I better learn!

Few Pictures

I haven't taken Walker or Reese to get their four year old and 9 month old shots yet so I decided to take them and try to do them myself. We went to the big field behind the church to try to get some around the corn field. It was a nice afternoon and the kids did great, we even got to see three deer.

Reese always has her tongue out!

Beach Trip

Patty came into town on Tuesday and yesterday we got to spend a day at the beach. We went to Wrightsville beach witch is only about an hour and fifteen minutes away. We had a great time. The water was clear and the weather was wonderful. Walker played hard all day and only stopped to eat. Reese did great. She loved eating the sand! (yes, I did try to stop her).

Walker's 4!!

Walker turned four yesterday. The first thing he said to me when he woke up was "mom, am I four years old now." He is so excited to be four! He told everybody at church he was four years old!
We had his hunting party on Saturday with all of his friends at church. He had a good time playing pin the tail on the deer and popping balloons filled with candy!
