The Big Trip

Last night at church the children put on a musical they had been working on all summer. It was called The Big Trip! Walker was just old enough to participate. He had a couple of special parts and did a great job with them!

The Play was about a youth group going to Jamaica on a mission trip. The kids get stuck at the airport waiting on their flight and while they were waiting they were able to witness to some other children. It had a great message on where Our Final Destination will be!!

One scene they talked about sin, Walker was dressed like a prisoner!

The Whole gang right before showtime!

Reese's Cow Party

Reese turned two this past week so on Saturday we had her a little birthday party. Cow was one of her first words. She watches them outside our back door all the time and points and says "Cow"! So...Cow was the theme of the party! When we were making the cake she would say "Cow party!" So cute! We all had a great time!

She was not to happy in this picture. I was to busy to "hold you"! (or hold her)

Walker and his teacher Mrs. Cannady! We are so excited that he is in her class! He also has his friend Emma from church in his class, making his first day of school a little easier!

Every morning the kids get a Free breakfast!! He picks it up and takes it to his class to eat.

Family Vacation

For our last trip of the summer before Walker starts school we took a 2 day trip to the coast...
Our ferry ride from one Island to another! It was our first ferry ride and was loads of fun. For $5 we got to take a 30minute boat ride with all our stuff...how cool is that!!
Can you see my mommy van!

Walker looking out the window on the Ferry!!

Wayne's big Catch!! This is at Caswell beach...no one in sight!

Ivy's 3rd time to the beach and only 5 months old. We love the ocean!

The Aquarium at Fort Fisher NC. The kids loved seeing all the different sea life!

Wayne being attacked by the alligator!!

Caswell Beach

Tuesday we took a family vacation for two days to the Baptist Retreat at Caswell Beach. It is a beautiful place the NC Baptist Assembly owns that at one time was Fort Caswell-1920's! It was a great place to relax and spend time as a family!

Wayne and Walker tried to explore some of the tunnels, but with no flashlights you can't get to far! Above Walker and Wayne are looking out of one of the gun holes! At one point Walker thought he heard something inside and came running out...so funny!

Five Months

Ivy is now Five months old. She is growing and growing. She weighed 13 pounds at the doctors office on Friday when she went in due to an ear infection. She is still very spoiled. The doctor told me I had to start putting her down a little more so that she can strengthen her motor skills. She is trying real hard to roll over and is now holding her head up a lot better. Ivy is also a big drool box, I have to keep a bib on her just like we had to do for walker. She is also sleeping through the night- that makes us all happy!! She is a sweet blessing in our lives!!

Reese loves her little sister!! We call Reese Little mama because she is always trying to help with Ivy. She tries to feed her, burp her, bring her toys and will cover up with blankets. She loves to do things for her!

Our Garden

Well, are garden season is coming to an end. It was a lot of fun planting and watching it all grow but I don't think we could live off our sowing!! We did get about three meals off our squash but not much when it came to the other stuff. The sunflowers were beautiful and we picked some last night to enjoy before they dried up! Maybe next year we will do better!

Reese picked our last squash!!

Our one and only zucchini!!
