Even though it was 33 degrees outside, we all still had smiles!!

Reese also had a good time. She found her a sucker in the candy bucket that kept her smiling all night!!

Walker got to throw candy!

Breakfast with Santa

Walker had Breakfast with Santa this morning. Our whole got to go and enjoy breakfast. After we ate we got to go and talk to Santa. Walker told him what he wanted but Reese didn't want anything to do with him. She did take the candy cane from him at the end though.

At home in front of our tree! I have been surprised she hasn't done to much with it. Every once in a while she will take an ornament off but other than that she has been pretty good!

Thanksgiving Weekend

Our Thanksgiving in Clinton, North Carolina.
This was my first year not going home and spending Thanksgiving with my family. It was sad not being home with them but we did get to spend time with Wayne's family. His parents and nephew Nate came up for the weekend. It was my first to fix a big holiday meal. Since I don't like turkey I made chicken instead. We also had all of my favorite sides. It all turned out pretty good. We really enjoyed our first thanksgiving in Clinton with our family.

What do you do after a big Thanksgiving dinner? Go hunting of course!! That evening the boys loaded up in Wayne's hunting truck (that is a joke with us, Wayne and Walker want a truck so bad just to go hunting in) and took off!!

This is Wayne's hunting truck!!
Sitting around enjoying the family!

Another Trip Home

This past weekend we had an unplanned trip back home to Georgia so that Wayne could attend a funeral. It ended up being a wonderful short trip.
Walker and Reese with baby Vance. Reese loves babies!!

Sweet baby Vance!! The cutest little thing. He looks a lot like Patty when she was a baby!

The kids loved playing outside with all the leaves!

I asked Walker if he wanted to rake up the leaves into a big pile and then jump into them. He said sure and was so excited. We went looking for a rake and when he saw the blower he said...Hey mom lets just use this! Smart Kid! I guess it was the lazy mans way out but I was impressed he thought of it!!

Our weekend

This past weekend mom and dad came to visit and brought cousin Nathaniel.
Saturday we went to a church in town that had a trick or trunk! Walker was Spider Man, Nathaniel was Super Man and Reese was a ballerina! They enjoyed getting lots of candy and playing games. Reese's new favorite thing is suckers....she loves them!!
Nathaniel has to wear a eye patch for an hour each day so this weekend Aunt Amy sent some extra so Walker could wear one too! Walker said "mommy, I got fire on my eye"!!

As soon as Nathaniel put down his glasses, Reese was there to put them on! Don't you just love that dirty face.

We let the boys build a fire one night and roast marsh mellows. I think they enjoyed burning them more than eating them.

Superman and Shepherds!

Wednesday night at Awana's the kids dressed like bible characters. Walker was a Shepperd. He didn't have his staff because when his daddy was in the woods getting one for him he got stung by a bee on the ear. It swelled up so big, you couldn't help but laugh at him. I wish I had taken a picture.
At school on Wednesday this kids got to dress up and put on a little parade for their parents. They all were so cute. Walker was Spider man!

NC State Fair!

It's that time again for the North Carolina State fair. Wayne and I love going to the fair, I think just because of all the food. We talk about it so much that our family comes up to go with us also. My parents came up last year and Wayne's mom and Uncle Larry came up this year for it. It is about 10x larger than what we grew up with at the North Ga. State Fair. We took the kids and had a blast.

Our happy family of four!!

Reese in the Monster Truck Wheel

Walker got a candy apple and loved it. Of course he didn't finish it so I finished it off. It was my first candy apple and I loved, loved, loved it!!

After a long day we wear worn out! We all wanted to crash!
Reese got a head start...

Pumpkin Patch

Friday we took the kids to the pumpkin patch they have at Walker's School. They both had a good time walking around looking at all the pumpkins.

Ma and Uncle Larry went with us.

After Reese got her pumpkin she took off....

Trip to Georgia

We had a great trip home last week when we rushed up to see Patty deliver. That was our highlight for the week but also got to enjoy a lot of other stuff while we were there. The county fair was in town so me and Amy took all 5 kids one afternoon. Don't ask me why we did that ourselves but eventually Paw Paw came to help. They had a great time going from one ride to another.
Wednesday was Ma's last day of work. She is now retired and enjoying life. We got to attend her retirement lunch which was at a Japanese restaurant in Kennesaw. We are very happy for her but even more happier that now she will be visiting a lot more.
We also got to go to the "jumpy place" as walker calls it and go bowling with Nana. I even got to go shopping for myself one afternoon and that never happens-Thanks Ma!!
My sister Amy with the little ones...Addison, Levi, and Reese!
The kids enjoyed the bike stunts that were at the fair. They kept saying "That is AWESOME"!!

Ma is going to kill me for posting this one. But isn't she so cute at her retirement lunch!
Congratulations Ma!!
Walker looking for money in the sand box at papa's house. Papa put them in there and Walker was so excited when he found them!

Baby Vance is here!!

Friday morning while I was on the way to taking Walker to school Patty called and told me her water had broke. I got so excited. It was perfect timing for me. I dropped him off and headed home to pack. Two hours later we were on the road headed to Atlanta. Six hours later we were in Georgia and Patty was 10cm and ready to push. I made it right on time. She did such a good job and baby Vance is here and healthy. He is a cute little thing that is going to be tall like his daddy. He was 7lbs 11oz and 22 1/2 in long! Cutie Pie!!

Our Day

Well, I am not sure what to say about this afternoon. Walker's friend from next door had come over to play. They are usually really loud and I am always calming them down. Today was a lot different. The boys got real quit for a long time back in the back guest bedroom. I went back to check on them and they had built a masterpiece on the bed. They had taken every pillow from my bed, walker's bed, and the guest bed and piled them high on the guest bed. Then they had taken Walker's blankets and books and had started putting them on top. They were having a blast!! I went back and sat down for a little bit with Reese and then after a while decided to go back and check on them again. I found them behind their masterpiece coloring themselves with markers. What do you say?! They were having a good time. So I took them outside and told them they could get it off by playing on the slip-n-slide! How much more fun could they have.
Next it was Reese's turn. I turned away for one minute and she had jumped into the mud puddle. She was all smiles! With mud that is!!

Their Masterpiece!

Deer Season

Deer Season has started (with a bow that is)! Walker loves to go hunting with his Daddy! This afternoon he got to go for the first time. He didn't get to see anything but had a good time anyway. I think Reese wanted to go to (just to be with her daddy) she stood at the door and cried when they left.

Walker's First Bow! (his papa got him!)

Reese giving Kisses

Reese started walking the week of her birthday. Since then she has not slowed down. Lately daddy has taught her to give kisses. She use to only give them to daddy but now will pass them out to all of us. She is so cute!!

Dove Hunting

I am late posting this but about 2 weeks ago was opening day of dove season. Walker has been waiting on this day for a long time. Papa and Nate came up for the big event. They went out on to some corn fields that had been cut and got about 8 doves. He had a blast! He was only using his BB Gun so he never got to shot one but had a fun time trying. I better add that Nate shot the most beating out his uncle Wayne which he has been trying to do for years.

Walker is a good shot when it comes to the targets he practices on!
Papa took the pictures for me so I didn't get a picture of all four of them.

Like father like son!!
