It's Time

It is that time of year again! The crops are ready and we have been a pickin! We have been very blessed to have so many farmers in our church that open up their gardens to us. This year we have already put up over 200 ears of corn, 2 and 1/2 bushels of field peas, 7 jars of snap beans, a bucket of sweet peas, and 2 buckets of red new potatoes. Yum Yum... I love fresh veggies. Our garden has been a little slower but we are getting some squash, tomatoes, and some beautiful watermelons. I love watching it all grow!!
Our first day of corn, half creamed, half on the cob!

Father's Day

I think this Father's Day is a day that Wayne will never forget! Not that anything special happened to make it wonderful but that something gross occurred. For lunch we went out to eat at a big Japanese Buffet in town after church. We got the kids there food, we go get ours, and by the time we start eating Walker's wants more. More Watermelon that is...he had eaten about 3-4 pieces and a full glass of tea. I started eating and Walker got real quite. I asked him what was wrong and all he said was that he wanted to go home. Soon after that everything he had eaten was back up again. I jumped up making my chair fly back behind me hitting another table, making a much bigger scene. We took off with empty stomach and an empty wallet!
We got Wayne a book copy of our blog and Walker got him a picture frame with a picture of the kids!!

South of the Border

We finally stopped! South of the Border is on the Border line of North and South Carolina on 95! From about 40 miles out there are billboards every couple of miles advertising this place. When we drive by it never looks busy and looks old. Walker always knows when he sees the big yellow hat we are crossing the boarder and are getting closer to home or closer to Georgia.
Me and Wayne finally stopped on our way back from Orlando just to check it out. We were impressed. The next time we head home we will be stopping so walker can go to the top of the hat!!

Orlando

We had a great time in Orlando this past week. Not only did we enjoy the SBC Conference but we had a great time with all the other activities!
I go to met up with my friend Stephanie and have lunch with her and her new little one Evan. Ivy and Evan are just a couple of weeks apart!

Ivy enjoyed our KING size bed at the hotel and so did I. A king size bed is on my wish list!!

Need I say anything...

One afternoon we spent at Down Town Disney. Really neat place, lots to see and do!

Our Last day we had some free time and we went to the City Walk at Universal. Also a great place to just walk around and visit. We got some great advise from our friend Monica (queen of Disney) and got to ride the monorail around Disney just to see it! (thanks Monica)

What is more fun then surfing...as you can tell I had no idea how to do it!

SBC Conference

Wayne and I got the opportunity to attend the Southern Baptist Convention Conference in Orlando this past week. Wayne's mother and Uncle Larry came up to keep Walker and Reese and we were able to take Ivy with us. We attended the Pastor's Conference/Pastor's Wife's Conference on Monday and got to hear a lot of wonderful speakers. The SBC Conference was just like any church conference with all the different reports. It was interesting though to see how our little church was a part of something much larger! We enjoyed our time there and are thankful we were able to go!

Ivy was great all week! I think she loved all the personal attention!

Picnic at the Park

Today I took the kids to the park for a picnic. Walker had been asking for about 2 days to go. When he sees something on TV he thinks he has to do it. So when one of his cartoons went on a picnic we had to go. It was a lot of fun but hot. We picked up McDonald's because I didn't have time to pack a lunch. After we ate we played on the playground and then I tried to take some pics of the kids. As you can tell I dressed them all in red, white, and blue! My camera had a smudge on it so the pics didn't turn out very well. We had fun though!!

3 Months Old

That's Right!! Ivy is three months old today. She is still my sweet little girl weighing only 12 pounds. She has started to sleep through the night and mommy and daddy are loving it!!

She's Talking

Well, a little! She has finally started saying a few words and they just melt my heart. Mommy of course is my favorite but she also says, daddy, ivy, please, all done, and I got you!

Sweet Smile

Nothing could be better than to see your little one smiling at you. Ivy started smiling at about two months old but of course never for the camera. I finally got a shot of that sweet grin today!
